Design has always been a passion of mine.
But like a lot of other designers, I find myself easily distracted, and so, find myself with a lot of interests. But it all funnels itself into a vast cauldron where I harvest my ideas in the most unexpected times. Ideas aren't convenient, but with patience they reveal themselves. Like most personal websites, this one allows me to try different techniques and
languages that I then apply to my various client projects. I try to eliminate
as much design clutter as I can to deliver a clean, well contructed website,
using only the elements necessary to deliver the client´s message. A lot of
trial and error has went into this latest incarnation of this website. Like
most projects, I am not 100% satisfied with it, and it will continue to be
a constantly developing project. Flashy techniques, and the "flavor
of the week" might get you
noticed, but more often than not, it´s inappropriate for the task
at hand, or the message that you are trying to convey.
Timeless design principals for each challenge are more desirable,
and what I try to bring to each client. Either way,
look around and if you find yourself wondering about something or have the need to reach out, please dont hesitate to submit the question or comment at my contact page.
Enjoy yourself, and thanks again for visiting! I look forward to talking with you face to face to discuss what I can deliver to make your ideas a reality.
I'll try to make this brief. Since my time after graduating from the Columbus College of Art and Design, I have put together both a varied and rewarding career. Painting murals and creating faux surfaces for retail interiors for Modeworks, Scenic Artist painting sets and creating props at the Beck Center in Lakewood. Pre-press work at American Greetings, Walker Printing and Jakprints. Web and Graphic Designer full time at Venture Lighting and Help Marketing, as well as put together freelance websites for Barri-Lee Michelle Dry Cleaners, HP Manufacturing, and Great Lakes Publishing.
I have worked as a Graphic Designer for local Ad Agencies, Doner Advertising and Sampson-Carnegie. For the last 12 years, I was a Graphic Designer and Videographer at TCP Lighting, the last five years the head Designer there. When not involved with my design career, you can find me in University Heights, Ohio with my wife, kids and two dogs. I enjoy volleyball, live music, and attempting to put together songs myself, to varying degrees of success.
